Season-Opening VCC Doubles Bonspiel
The first bonspiel of the 2009-2010 season - the Season-Opening Doubles Spiel - is now complete.

Event Background
Building on past doubles events that have been held at the VCC, the Season-Opening Doubles Spiel featured the following:
* Maximum 20 teams
* Each team played a minimum of 4 four-end games, during both round-robin and playoffs
* Teams could be of any gender makeup (ie, male-female, male-male, female-female)
* Event is open to curlers of all curling levels
* Followed world curling doubles rules
* Cost was $35/person
* Special $5 soup & sandwich lunch was available via pre-order
ALL funds raised from the event will be donated to the Sandra Schmirler Foundation
