FAQ - Facility Access
Will there be bike racks or bike lockers at the new facility?
The outdoor areas at the Hillcrest recreation facility are managed by the Vancouver Park Board. Bike parking is already in place and it is the Club’s understanding that more bike racks will be added this summer. There are no bike lockers inside our new club so all bikes will have to be secured outside the facility at the bike racks provided.
Is vehicle parking free? and how much parking is available?
The outdoor areas at the Hillcrest facility are managed by the Vancouver Park Board. There are three parking lots at the new facility where members can park, and these lots are shared by all users of the facility. At present, vehicle parking is free of charge.
Will the parking lots and bike rack areas be lit?
The exterior lighting – similar to all outdoor areas at the Hillcrest recreation facility - is managed by the Vancouver Park Board. The building’s exterior and the nearby parking lots are all well lit.
Is the new facility accessible by transit?
As our new facility is only steps away from our current home, similar transit routes can be used. You can look up transit schedules for the #003 and #033 buses and the Canada Line (King Ed station) and you will see many different options.
